VIOLA BROMLEY OAM (1915 - 1990)

Viola Beatrice Bromley OAM was an award-winning Australian artist. A multiple finalist in the Wynne Prize and Mosman Art Prize, Bromley was known for her interesting abstract expressionist landscapes, exhibiting alongside Weaver Hawkins, Ruth Faerber, Jean Isherwood, Reinis Zusters and Royston Harpur, in venues such as the Newcastle City Art Gallery. In 1988 she received an Order Of Australia Medal for services to Visual Arts.
