DIXON COPES (1914 - 2002)


Dixon Copes was an prolific and well regarded Australian painter who was extremely successful in the early half of the 20th century. He studied at the Royal Art Society under Sydney Long, who’s influence is reflected in the dream-like, romantic landscapes he proced, predominantly of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. His works are replresented in most State & Provincial Galleries.
